1 make a pit stop
2 PIT STOP
также " Make a pit stop (MAKE)"). -
3 pit stop
1) Общая лексика: пит-стоп, остановка во время гонки для смены покрышек или устранения поломок (Формула 1 и не только)2) Американизм: stop and go to the bathroom (Let's \<b\>make a pit stop\</b\> at the next rest area)3) Сленг: дезодорант, остановка в пути, чтобы пойти в уборную -

6 MAKE
Make a stop (to) — прерваться, сделать паузу, но:
Make a pit stop (to) — остановить машину, чтобы сходить в туалет.
Make a scene (to) — закатить истерику.
Make the scene (to) — добиться успеха, сделать что-то, или прибыть куда-то.
Make — употребляется и в значении "объект для (*)to make" (см. выше).Make my day!
